Burlesque to the Core with Paco Fish

Paco Fish by Philip Laubner

Burlesque is more than just dancing & stripping.  It is an art form that combines elements of dancing, acting, stripping, mime, storytelling, and comedy.  This 6-week class consists of exercises to develop these skills and choreography that puts them to use.  Each week will focus on a different core element of performing burlesque, including making moments, choreography, developing character, conveying emotion, connecting to props, and connecting to an audience.  This class is appropriate for first-timers as well as experienced performers; it is a safe space for all genders, ages 18+.

"Paco Fish" has been performing burlesque since 2006 and currently holds the titles "King of Southern Exposure 2011," "King of Carolina Sweet Tease 2012" and "Most Humorous" from both 2012 Great Burlesque Expo and 2012 Carolina Burlesque Festival.  He has studied under world class burlesque instructors, Trixie Little, Evil Hate Monkey, and Dr. Lucky, as well as renowned clown and mime teachers, Bill Irwin, Mark Jaster, Jango Edwards, Arsene Dupin, Tom Murphy, Randy Judkins, and Elena Day.
